There has been plenty of dismay surrounding Denver Broncos' quarterback Russell Wilson this season.

He hasn't lived up to expectations on the field. The struggles have caused frustration throughout the fan base and the media. Accordingly, some are doubting the leadership of Wilson.

There is no way to know what type of leader Wilson is without being in the locker room.

That being said, a gesture he made this past weekend showed how much he cares about his teammates and their success.

The Broncos' QB threw his 300th career touchdown to Brandon Johnson. It was Johnson's first career TD.

Russ let him keep the ball.

Wilson's on-field performance hasn't lived up to expectations. Hopefully, he gets settled into the Broncos' system and roster going forward.

The Broncos' entire offense has not played well enough. Some of that blame goes to the personnel. Some of it goes to the coaching staff.

Changes could be coming in the off-season, but Wilson isn't going anywhere.

Regardless, it is clear that he values his teammates accomplishments and wants to see them succeed.

Broncos' fans should care a lot more about that than how many teammates showed up to his birthday party.
