Tuesday has been a day of cuts around the NFL. The Miami Dolphins released wide receiver Preston Williams. Williams should be a candidate for the Denver Broncos for a particular reason.
His WRs coach in college at Tennessee is now the WRs coach for the Broncos. That would be Zach Azzanni. Williams spent two seasons at the University of Tennessee.
Williams has struggled with injuries during his time in Miami, but his physical ability is undeniable. He would be nothing more than a depth wideout for the Broncos, but it would make plenty of sense. Williams would provide solid value on the depth chart.
In three seasons with the Dolphins, Williams had 56 catches for 787 yards and 7 touchdowns. A reunion with his former coach could help to get his production back on track.
