All aboard the Bo Nix hype train. The Denver Broncos QB is looking to build on an impressive rookie season and has shone in camp. Getting your franchise QB is no easy task, as some teams spend years trying to find the right guy. While it’s only been one season in the NFL, we are confident that Head Coach Sean Payton has found his guy, and he is, too.

QB1 is on a mission, and he wants the world to know. Getting a peek behind what makes these players tick is always so special, and allows fans to fall even more in love with their favorite players (or just me, and that’s fine).

Avoiding a sophomore slump for Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix

The dreaded “sophomore slump” is something that Nix is trying to avoid. Spending countless hours in the offseason working on his craft. Nix even released a YouTube channel with his first video detailing his training regimen and what he’s doing to get his body ready for his next NFL season.

While the team is gearing up for its first preseason matchup against the San Francisco 49ers, everything you need to know about the matchup can be found here. Bo Nix opened up to the media about his plans for the upcoming season. Nix is on a mission, and it’s been clear since the beginning of camp.

Bo Nix doesn’t hold back and seems more than ready

As Broncos Wire reported, Nix opened up about what challenges he’s going to face this season compared to his first in the league. His response is all the more reason we are confident the Broncos found their franchise QB. Nix was quick to respond when asked about the upcoming challenges.

“Honestly. I think that it’ll be the same challenges.” He continued, “It’s still going to be defenses. It’s still going to be coordinators. It’s still going to be wins and losses. It’s still going to be the health of your team.” Speaking like a seasoned veteran already.

Nix continued, talking about how he’s become more equipped to handle the challenges that everyday NFL life may bring. “Now I just think I’m in a better place to handle those things, which is good.” With the weight of the city on his shoulders as a rookie, it’s nice to see his growth here.

Nix has his mic drop moment

As to what drives the QB, this was his mic drop moment. While not specifically mentioning a sophomore slump, Nix wants to continue his upward trajectory. “For me, I think it’s more of the fear of not being ready, not being enough for the team. That’s what continues to drive me and what’s not going to give me an off year.” He added, “At the same time, it was nice to catch up and kind of get back to where I want to be physically, get back to where I want to be mentally, and make strides.”

When asked about how his readiness and physical fitness will impact his challenges, Nix wasn’t going to shy away. “I don’t think the challenges will change. I think I’m just different. So I think that’s the good part of this year. I don’t want to take it for granted that I am a year ahead because most guys are a lot of years ahead of me. I know I have a long way to go, but I’m excited to go there.”

If there was any concern that Nix isn’t locked in, this should squash any notion of that. Nix was an underrated rookie QB who led the team to a playoff berth in his first season as signal-caller. Not bad for a rookie QB who had been written off before playing a single snap.

QB1 seems more than ready for the challenge, and we can’t wait to see what he’s able to accomplish this season.
