The Denver Broncos have one of the best defenses top to bottom in the NFL.
They are getting consistent pressure. Their secondary is one of the most talented defensive groups in the league.
The Broncos are accomplishing a goal that defenses strive for at an unreal rate right now, too. They are forcing fumbles against opposing offenses very often.
Those turnovers are vital. They can alter a game, but the Broncos are not taking advantage of them often enough.
Having that amount of forced fumbles should mean that you have a very good record just five weeks into the season.
Instead, the Broncos sit at 2-3 and third in their division.
Their struggles on offense have been discussed consistently. The duo of Nathaniel Hackett and Russell Wilson has not been a match made in heaven so far.
Accordingly, the Broncos are wasting these forced fumbles by settling for field goals or no points at all. That is a trend that they must break.
Going forward, the defense will not keep forcing fumbles this often. When they do, the offense has to make the opponent pay for not securing the ball as they should.
Broncos' fans have endured a roller coaster of emotions throughout the season due to the offense's deficiencies and the defense's proficiencies.
