The Denver Broncos, fresh off their first win of the season, are enjoying some next-level play from their QB Russell Wilson. While the defense has let the team down on more than one occasion, Wilson has shined early on this season.
We want to preface this by saying we completely understand that injuries have played their part on the sub-par play on the defensive side of the football. Regardless, it's definitely a weakness on this roster.
Wilson needed to have a good season this year after the abysmal effort he put in last year. Fans, after just one season, were calling for his removal and those complaints were more than justified.
However, through just a few weeks, Wilson is on pace to have one of his best statistical seasons in his impressive NFL career. Critics have been forced to eat their words when it comes to the superstar QB, but he still has more work to do.
Wilson got a huge boost from none other than legendary pass rusher and Broncos legend Von Miller. Miller, who is recovering from an ACL injury and fighting to make his way back on the roster for the Buffalo Bills, opened up about the Broncos QB and how his game has ascended this season.
During a recent episode of The Von Cast, Miller quickly went viral with his comments on the Broncos QB.
Miller began, praising the Broncos QB, "Russell Wilson went crazy, and not only did he go crazy this game, but he's actually been crazy. He's actually been going crazy all season long. Quietly, he's actually been going crazy all season long." Miller continued, "This is what I've said all along about Russell Wilson.. This year was going to be way better than the year before.
The Broncos legend continued, "I think his passer rating was higher than Josh Allen's passer rating this last week, man. That just shows, Russ is cooking, I'm excited for Russ, man. They definitely have what it takes."
Miller seems to have a lot of faith in the QB. While the season is long and there's still a lot to prove, Broncos country should share the same sentiment.
