4 edge rushers the Lions could trade for after their recent injury loss and what they would have to trade to get them
Man, this one sucks, but you also kind of knew it was going to happen. The Detroit Lions could be on the verge of losing Marcus Davenport for the season with an elbow injury. Davenport has never played a full season in the NFL and Brad Holmes and the Lions should have been better prepared […]

Davenport has never played a full season in the NFL and Brad Holmes and the Lions should have been better prepared for this. You could almost set your watch to it. We all knew he was going to get hurt.
Anyhow, here's four guys that the Lions could try to trade for right now and proposals for each player.
Haasan Reddick
This is the one you really want to swing for here. Reddick and the Jets just aren't going to come to an agreement and the Jets have fumbled this so badly that the Lions could get Reddick for a song. Here's our proposal:
Lions get: Hassan Reddick
Jets get: 2025 fifth-round pick and James Houston
Azeez Ojulari
This one has been out there and rumored for a couple weeks now. The Giants could be looking to move on from the former second round pick after bringing in Brian Burns.
Ojulari just needs a spot where he can play and the Lions have that with both Davenport and Cominsky out. Ojulari has shown that he can get to the quarterback when he's on the field. Working across from Aidan Hutchinson and getting coached by Terrell Williams will only help him. Plus the Lions got a look at him during training camp. Here's the proposal:
Lions get: Azeez Ojulari
Giants get: 2025 fifth-round pick
Yannick Ngakoue
Ok, so this one isn't a trade. Ngakoue is a free agent right now. This is a guy that has had eight or more sacks in every season of his career except for one. It's both weird that no team has signed him and that no team has brought him back for a second deal. The Lions could get him on a one-year deal for cheap and see what he still has.
Update: Yannick Ngakoue signed with the Ravens Monday evening.
Payton Turner
Things really haven't worked out for the former first-round pick in New Orleans. He's been a project for a minute and he just can't find his footing. That's why we're throwing a sweetheart deal at him and hoping Terrell Williams can get him right.
Lions get: Payton Turner
Saints get: A conditional 2025 seventh-round pick.
This is the week that Aaron Glenn finally buries his Seahawks demons, here’s why
Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn has been getting better and better over the years. So far this season he has the Lions defense playing better than ever and they continue to get better each week. So of course the biggest obstacle for Glenn and his defense comes early in the year. You might not […]
