7 takeaways from the Lions' incredible win over the Bears

This is just different man. It is damn near impossible to win a game like the Detroit Lions played on Sunday, but they found a way to do it with a thrilling 31-26 win in the closing seconds of the game.
As always, I have thoughts on this game. These are those thought's:
Goff Report
Jared Goff has been very good for the Lions this year, but this was just a really bad day for him. Goff threw three interceptions and it was nearly four in this one. Maybe one of the worst games he's played in his career. Then he balled his way down field and led the Lions to two straight touchdowns in just over three minutes and the Lions won. He cannot do that again, but I think we learned a ton about the mental toughness of Jared Goff on Sunday. He never wavered.
Get out of your own way… wait, they did
The Lions flat out did it to themselves on Sunday. Every problem they ran into was self caused. Bad throws, bad fumbles, bad penalties and bad defense. Every time the Lions did something positive, they almost immediately followed it up with something negative. This was not a good team that the Lions played. They just spent most of the game playing themselves and for most of the time, they lost. Then they someone how got over it when they needed to and they came back and won the game. I can't believe that they did, but they did.
This is what good football teams do. They find a way. Even during their worst days.
Good Branch, Bad Branch
Brian Branch had himself a day on Sunday. On the good side he had three tackles for a loss and a really nice pass breakup. He looked every bit the Brian Branch that we were used to seeing in the first half of the season.
On the bad side, Branch got called for two of those penalties that gave the Bears life when they should have been dead. You have to give him some leeway because he is a rookie and he's bound to make rookie mistakes sometimes. Plus he was very good otherwise.
Two minute drill
We have to talk about that two minute drill to close the half. The Lions moved down the field with dominance. They started at their own 25-yard line and then had a
- 10-yard pass to St. Brown
- 13-yard pass to St. Brown
- 9-yard pass to Jahmyr Gibbs
- 12-yard pass to Jameson Williams
- 8-yard pass to Jahmyr Gibbs
- 14-yard pass to Jahmyr Gibbs
- 7-yard touchdown pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown
They did all of that in the span of about a minute and a half. One of the best two minute drills I've seen the Lions execute in some time.
You wanted Hutch? There he is
Aidan Hutchinson has been dealing with double teams and holds all year. It's been a while since he got to the quarterback. On Sunday he got there once. But it was biggest sack of the year with no doubts about it. Hutchinson went out and hit Justin Fields with a sack fumble that ended the game and helped give the Lions the win.
I was dumb for not believing
I've been covering this team since 2014 and I've watched them my entire life. They've lost that game my entire life. That's why with just over three minutes left, I started writing my story. This was the had written down until after the game was over and I had to go change it.
"A very sloppy game for the Detroit Lions against a bad Bears team. The Lions shot themselves in the foot all day long and wound up losing 26-14 and effectively made their lives a lot harder if they hopped to get the number one seed in the playoffs."
Man, I was wrong. This team is so much different. They figured it out and they got yet another win. What a game. What a team.
Goodbye 1962
The last time the Lions started the season at 8-2 was all the way back in 1962. This was the number one song the day they hit that mark. I don't think anyone is crying tonight.
