A rag tag group of misfits push a 'depleted' Lions defense to a win over the Packers, 6 other big takeaways

Goff Report
Yeah, Goff threw a pick and that was bad. Then he completed his last 13 passes and led the Lions to the game winning field goal. He continues to play at an MVP level. He finished the day completing 78% of his passes for 283 yards and three touchdowns. A solid day.
Grapefruits
I can't believe the grapefruit sized balls on Dan Campbell to go for it in field goal position on fourth and inches instead of just taking the field goal and go ahead. It came so close to not working with Goff falling down, but he made it work and got the ball to Montgomery and Montgomery got the biggest first down of the season so far. What a moment of grit from the Lions.
Rag Tag Group of Misfits
The defense is supposedly "depleted" and this was supposed to be a game in which the Lions were supposed to have all kinds of problems on defense. They made it work with a group of guys that just got here, practice squad guys and everybody else. Yeah they allowed 31 points, but to be fair two of the touchdowns they allowed were on short fields after turnovers. These guys earned their checks on Thursday. Now the Lions will take 11 days to get as healthy as possible.
Tim Patrick deserves it
This guy went through absolute hell. Injuries kept him out for two years and usually that means the end for a lot of guys. Patrick got cut by the Broncos and then has been a big get for the Lions. He's having a great season for this team and on Thursday he got his first touchdown since December of 2021. Then he got another one in the fourth quarter. You love to see it.
O'Connor
This guy played his heart out in this one. O'Connor doesn't usually get a lot of opportunities to start, but he did in this one and he made everything count and was really a big part of why this team was able to get some pass rush in this one. He had two pressures and two hurries.
Damn Trevor!
What a hit from Nowaske there. But this one is is even better.
Branch Missile
The man just flew through the air and put a John Cena like shoulder tackle on Josh Jacobs. The guy loves to hit and it showed there.
Lions make a little team history
Jahmyr Gibbs got to 1,000 yards on the season in this game and that gave him his first 1,000 yard rushing season. It was also the first time the Lions have had a 1,000 yard rusher three years in a row since 1998 when Barry Sanders played the last year of his career.
If Montgomery can get at least 70 yards in the next four games, the Lions will have the first running back duo to get 1,000 yards each since 2009.
