I can't remember the last time the Detroit Lions had a player like C.J. Gardner-Johnson. Maybe it's because the Lions have never had a player like C.J. Gardner-Johnson. 

Gardner-Johnson is the NFL's very own Deadpool. He's the safety with a mouth and he knows how to use it. Nobody talks more trash than him and nobody is better at it than him. Seriously, NFL players were recently polled and they voted Gardner-Johnson as the NFL's biggest trash talker. 

Gardner-Johnson went down with a torn pectoral muscle in Week 2 and Lions fans have been eagerly awaiting his return. Well, it's coming. Last week he teased that his return to practice would be December 20th. This week he took things to another level. 

Gardner-Johnson cleared out his entire Instagram page and his bio. He left three things. Two Lions videos, a special message and the letters ETA in the bio. 

I think he wants people to know that he's on his way back. I mentioned that special message. This is what it said.

December 20th is right around the corner. If Gardner-Johnson can return then or next week, he'll theoretically be ready to go for the Lions matchup with the Cowboys. A game they could surely use him in.
