The 2025 NFL Draft is in the books, and the Detroit Lions wound up making 0 picks and found a ton of value all over the place. It didn't fall exactly like Lions fans may have hoped it would, but you can't hate the outcome. Here's everyone Detroit walked out with.
Round 1, No. 28th overall: Tyleik Williams, DT, Ohio State
The Lions chose to make sure that their interior defensive line has a bright future to it by selecting Williams. The former Buckeye is expected to stop in for Alim McNeill while they wait for him to return from a torn ACL, and after that, he should be the eventual DJ Reader replacement at the nose tackle spot.
Round 2, No. 57th overall: Tate Ratledge, OL, Georgia
The Lions scored an immediate starter in the second round with Ratledge. This is a guy who spent the last three seasons as a starter at right guard for the Bulldogs and allowed just two sacks during that time. He is a tremendous pass blocker and a tremendous run blocker, too.
Round 3, No. 70th overall: Isaac TeSlaa, WR, Arkansas
The Lions finally got the X-receiver they've been missing for a long time. They probably gave up way too much to move up for him, but he is someone you should expect to immediately take that WR3 spot, and he adds an element to the Lions offense that they just haven't had, and that's the high point contested catches that he's able to make.
Round 4, No. 171st overall: Miles Frazier, OL, LSU
The Lions dipped back into he trenches on the offensive side of the ball and got a guy who has a ton of versatility. He can play both left and right tackle spots and both left and right guard spots. We'll see where the Lions want him, but he should be a strong do-all guy off the bench to start.
Round 6, No. 196th overall: Ahmed Hassanein, Edge, Boise State
Lions fans really wanted an edge rusher, and the Lions may have just stolen a really good one. Yes, he's new to football, but that has not stopped him from being very good at a high level. He had 62 pressures and 12 sacks last year. This guy is ready to go.
Round 7, No. 230th overall: Dan Jackson, S, Georgia
The Lions needed to shore up some safety depth, and they weren't able to do it earlier in the draft. Still, they find a solid player in Jackson who can immediately find a spot on special teams.
Round 7, No. 244th overall: Dominic Lovett, WR, Georgia
The Lions get another speed demon with Lovett. He's on the smaller size and you can really see him taking over for Kalif Raymond at some point.
- Round 1, No. 28 overall: Tyleik Williams
- Round 2, No. 57 overall: Tate Ratledge
- Round 3, No. 70 overall: Isaac TeSlaa
- Round 4, No. 171 overall: Miles Fraizer
- Round 6, No. 196 overall: Ahmed Hassanein
- Round 7, No. 230 overall: Dan Jackson
- Round 7, No. 244 overall: Dominic Lovett
The Lions went all in on the trenches with some big boys who are ready to move guys around and make some holes or clog some holes.
The Lions find their next Ezekiel Ansah in the 2025 NFL Draft with selection of Ahmed Hassanein
Back in 2013, the Detroit Lions had the fifth pick in the NFL Draft, and they took a chance on a young Ghana-born edge rusher who had spent most of his life playing basketball and played football for just a couple of years before the draft. That was Ezekiel Ansah. Ansah worked out really well. […]
