The Detroit Pistons have made another hire for their coaching staff and this new hire comes with a last name that Detroit Lions' fans are very familiar with. Kevin Burleson, the older brother of former Lions receiver Nate Burleson, will join J.B. Bickerstaff's coaching staff per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Nate Burleson, who is now a big television personality, played for the Lions from 2010 to 2013 and was a big part of the Lions 2011 team that had one of the best offenses in the NFL and broke the long playoff drought the Lions had gone on.

His older brother Kevin comes to the Pistons after being the head coach of the Houston Rockets' G-League team the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. Burleson had previously been on the Minnesota Timberwolves and Memphis Grizzlies coaching staffs. He was with Bickerstaff in Memphis.

Burleson also played in the NBA for the Charlotte Bobcats for two years and spent a lot of time playing professional basketball overseas.

Nate helped the Lions break a big playoff drought, hopefully his brother can now help break one for the Pistons.

Update: Nate put out a heartfelt tweet about the hire.
