Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffered another very scary concussion this past Sunday when he took a hit so bad that his body started to go into the fencing position. This is not the first time that we've seen this happen to him. It's difficult to watch and you really feel for the guy.

It's nobodies place to tell Tagovailoa when he should retire. We think he should, but that's up to him. However, former Lions running back Jahvid Best has a strong message for Tagovailoa that he should at least give a listen to.

Best was a first-round pick by the Lions in 2010 and he was expected to be one of the top running backs in the league. He showed a lot of flashes that he was going to be that guy early, but after suffering concussion at Cal and then doing it again in the NFL, Best medically retired from football after 2012 season.

Former teammate Nate Burleson was on CBS Sports this week and he read a text message from Best to Tagovailoa. Here's what Best had to say.

"Man, when I saw that play, it instantly reminded me of my situation. Prayers out to him and his family. At the end of the day, health is the most important thing. I had to make that hard decision, to walk away with my family and my future in mind. It was the most difficult time in my life. I pray he finds comfort in whatever decision he has to make. The hardest part about it is it's not a knee, it's not a shoulder. In a week or so, you feel absolutely normal and healthy. You are young, the best shape of your life, but experts are telling you, it's not safe to play the game that you love again."

The end there is the strongest part. Anyone that's had a concussion can tell you that most of the time you feel fine and normal not long after it happens, but you're not. It's such a hard thing to make a decision about for people that don't want to give up their life long dream. Here's hoping whatever Tagovailoa decides to do, he's able to live his best life doing it.
