Ben Johnson, Aaron Glenn, and Terrell Willaims are gone. Those are all huge losses for the Detroit Lions. The biggest fear was that the team would potentially lose offensive line coach Hank Fraley to either the Bears or the Seahawks.

Absolutely gigantic news for the Lions. A team that prides itself on the strength of its offensive line.

Fraley has been with the Lions since 2020 and the Lions offensive line has grown over that time to be the best offensive line in the league. This is a big moment for the younger guys like Christian Mahogany and Giovanni Manu. They will now have some continuity in their growth and will be ready to take over starting roles faster because of this.

There were a lot of rumors going back to last season that Fraley would potentially go with Ben Johnson wherever he wound up. Then the Seahawks had Fraley in for two interviews and it seemed like there was a lot of momentum there.

Then this report came out that the Seahawks wanted to not give Fraley the full offensive coordinator duties but that he would have to split them in half. I don't know what that was all about or if that was the reason Fraley headed back to Detroit, but it was weird.
