This is a big game for with playoff implications for both the Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys want to win the NFC East and the Lions want to get the second or first seed. Both teams will be bringing it in primetime. 

I wanted to write this today because I have seen some confusion among Lions fans as to what day this game is. If you already know, then just skip to the rest of the information. 

This game will be on Saturday night. The confusion here is that this is considered to be part of the Monday Night Football lineup this season. While the game is on Saturday, this is a Monday Night Football game in theme only. The MNF crew will be working this game and it will presented like a Monday night game. 

This is nothing new. This is the final MNF game of the year and that game is always on a Saturday night. So be ready to watch football on Saturday and not Monday.

The Lions have played the Cowboys 30 times in history. Their first meeting dates back to November of 1960. The Lions won that game 23-10. The Lions are 12-18 all time against the Cowboys. 

Now to Jerry World. The Lions have won three times in Dallas. They did it in 1994, 2006 and 2011. They've lost the last four games there including last years 24-6 loss.
