Detroit Lions receiver Jameson Williams can be one of the leagues best receivers some day. I don't have any doubt that this can happen. But at the moment he's in this time of transition and growth and part of that means that mistakes still happen, but you have to know what to do to make things right.

Williams had this 15-yard taunting penalty in the second half of the Lions 23-20 Thanksgiving win over the Bears.

You just can't do that stuff. It's an avoidable penalty and the 15 yards hurts the team and their drive in a close game. Ultimately it didn't cost the team the game or anything like that. They still managed to win. But it did make things harder on that drive. The Lions couldn't come back from it and then Bates missed his field goal.

Remember when we said you have to know what to do to make things right? Well Williams did that in the locker room after the game.

There's been a lot of talk about Williams' growth as a player and his growth as a man. Moments like these show that growth that everyone is talking about. He took personal responsibility and did the respectful thing of standing up in front of his team and saying he was sorry.

Stuff like that makes you know that he's going to be ok.
