Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold maintains innocence after report links him to serious crimes
This is an unfortunate situation fro everyone involved, including the Lions
Well, this is not what anyone was hoping to see on a Thursday night during the NFL Combine, but here we are.
Before we get any further into this, it’s very important to note that at this time, Arnold has not been arrested or charged with anything.
What’s going on with Lions cornerback Terrion Arnold
Here are some highlights from Bianchi’s report, although I highly recommend you give it a read.
This all stems from Arnold hiring a driver named Yan Lopez to drive him around. When a rental property that Arnold owned was robbed twice, with items including designer bags, $100,000 in cash, an $80,000 necklace, and a cell phone issued to Arnold by the NFL reported stolen, Arnold suspected that Lopez was the one doing it.
Arnold reported the theft to local authorities in Florida, but then, according to Hillsborough County Circuit Court, Circuit Judge J. Logan Murphy, Arnold and his friends “decided to take matters into their own hands.”
From there, Murphy alleges that Arnold and friends came up with a plot to lure Lopez and a friend, Daniel Tesesca, over to an apartment under the guise of having a romantic encounter with some female friends.
Once there, the report alleges that two men came out with guns and began to interrogate, beat, and pistol-whip Tenseca. According to the report, Lopez was also pistol-whipped and had the barrel of a gun put in his mouth, and was ordered to give Arnold his phone back.
Text messages showed in the report had instructions to seize the victims’ phones and keep them in a bedroom corner until “Terrion and Boakai [Hilton] and Fredo” arrived at the apartment complex.
As we mentioned, Arnold has not been arrested or charged at this point. We will give any and all updates on this story as soon as we know them.
Update: Lions CB Terrion Arnold’s attorney released a statement refuting any assertion of Arnold’s involvement in this matter
Statement from Arnold’s attorney
“To be clear, Mr. Arnold had no involvement whatsoever in the activities that led to those arrests. He did not participate in, nor was he present for, any conduct related to the alleged offenses. There is no evidence in police reports, text messages, or witness statements that implicates Mr. Arnold in any way.
In fact, after direct communication with the lead prosecutor, it has been confirmed that no charges have been filed against Mr. Arnold in connection with this matter.
Recent media coverage has referenced an Order issued by Circuit Judge J. Logan Murphy, which improperly suggests Mr. Arnold’s involvement in the incident. That same Order also incorrectly identifies Ms. Devalle as Mr. Arnold’s girlfriend. Both assertions are false, misleading, and entirely unsupported by the record.
Mr. Arnold categorically denies these unfounded claims and maintains his complete innocence. He was not involved in the crimes allegedly committed on February 4, 2026, in Tampa, Florida.
We strongly urge members of the media to refrain from perpetuating inaccurate or speculative narratives. The facts are clear, and they do not support any claim of wrongdoing by Mr. Arnold.”
