The Detroit Lions will soon be on a plane to Minnesota to spend their Christmas with the Minnesota Vikings, and now we know exactly who will be on that flight. The Lions made a few roster moves on Christmas Eve. Here’s what they did:

Elevated C Kinsgley Eguakun from the practice squad

Out of necessity, Kinsgley Egukun got his first NFL start against the Steelers last week, and he played well in that game. Well enough that Dan Campbell repeatedly called his performance “very encouraging” on Monday.

Campbell also said the Lions were weighing giving him another start on Christmas. Graham Glasgow is questionable with a knee injury, but if he can’t go, Eguakun has earned another shot. Frankly, the Lions should give it to him either way. This is Eguakun’s final elevation this year. So the Lions will have to make some decisions on Friday.

Elevated TE Giovanni Ricci from the practice squad

Giovanni Ricci is getting another shot. The Lions have nobody essentially out there to play tight end other than Anthony Firkser. This is Ricci’s final elevation this year.
