The Detroit Lions are about to get on a plane to Chicago to play their final game of the season against the Bears. Now we know who will be getting on that plane after the Lions have made a few moves.

Placed Trystan Colon on injured reserve

That’ll do it for Colon’s season. As for his future with the Lions, he is a free agent once this season ends. It’s hard to think the Lions might bring him back unless they want him to compete for a spot during training camp.

Elevated tight end Zach Horton from the practice squad

Horton played against the Packers on Thanksgiving, but we never really saw him on the field. With no Giovanni Ricci in his one, I look forward to seeing a lot of him this week.

This is a big game for Horton, who the Lions could see a future with due to his run-blocking ability and his ability to play fullback.

Elevated OT Chris Hubbard from the practice squad

The veteran tackle has been in the league since 2013 and has played for the Steelers, Browns, Titans, 49ers, and Giants. He signed with the Lions at the start of November, and now that Penei Sewell can’t play, he might be the guy getting the shot at right tackle in this game.

Hubbard has 61 starts in the NFL.
