Despite not playing on Sunday, the Detroit Lions have still made multiple Saturday roster moves. They made the Kwon Alexander and Jonah Williams signings official. Here's what else they did:
Placed Malcolm Rodriguez and Mekhi Wingo on injured reserve
There it is. It's not official, the Lions will be without both guys for the remainder of this season. Both guys are tough losses, but Rodriguez is a really hard one. Especially since there's already so many injuries at the linebacker spot.
Waived Maurice Alexander
This one seems questionable to me. The Lions are without Kalif Raymond for a bit now and have no return man perse. I thought Alexander had a pretty nice Thanksgiving game. He never broke one for a touchdown or anything, but he had some nice returns. It seemed he had done enough to earn the role for the next three weeks. Looks like the Lions will go another route.
Signed Myles Adams from Seahawks practice squad
Another poaching for the Lions. This time they take a defensive lineman from Seattle. Adams went undrafted out of Rice in 2020. He spent his summer with the Panthers and then got picked up by the Seahawks after being cut. He's been there ever since. He's played three games this year including Week 4 against the Lions .
He recorded three tackles and a pressure in that game. He also had a 74.4 Pro Football Focus grade from that game. The Lions must have come away impressed because here is in Detroit now. I addition to that game, Adams has played another 20 regular season games and has one start under his belt.
Detroit Lions Injury Tracker: Major updates on Terrion Arnold, David Montgomery, Kevin Zietler, Aidan Hutchinson, Derrick Barnes and Carlton Davis ahead of playoffs
The Detroit Lions have so many injuries right now. So many that it's hard to keep track of for fans and even for us in the media. One Lions fan asked if there was a tracker to help keep track of when players might be back. Well, Florida Man, there is now. Here you go. […]
