How will Lions rookies perform?

The Lions have a a lot of rookies playing in important roles on Thursday night. How will they show up and who look the best? The hard money has to be on Jahmyr Gibbs at this point due to the Chiefs struggling against pass catching running backs.

3 Players to watch

  • QB Jared Goff: Goff had arguably the best season of his career in 2022. That included one of the NFL's best turnover-less streaks in history. He has a shot to hold the all time record of most passes thrown without an interception this year. He has to start here with a clean game.
  • QB Patrick Mahomes: He's the center of this entire game. Mahomes is the best quarterback in the NFL and while he may be missing his top pass catcher, he's still very dangerous.
  • Edge Aidan Hutchinson: The second year player had an amazing rookie season last year. He's also someone the Chiefs have their eye on. How much of an impact can he make in this game?
