Lions to interview Giants interim head coach Mike Kafka for their offensive coordinator job
Patrick Mahomes’ former quarterback coach could be Jared Goff’s new OC
The list of guys interviewing for the Detroit Lions’ offensive coordinator job continues to grow. On Tuesday, they will interview former Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel. As it turns out, he won’t be the only former head coach the Lions will interview.
Lions will interview New York Giants interim head coach Mike Kafka for their offensive coordinator job on Wednesday
Kafka has a ton of NFL experience. He was a quarterback in the NFL for five years, and he’s been coaching for 10 years. He was Patrick Mahomes’ quarterbacks coach for four seasons and was the Chiefs’ passing game coordinator during that time as well. Kafka took on the Giants’ offensive coordinator job when Brian Daboll became New York’s head coach. When Daboll was fired midseason this year, Kafka became the interim head coach. He’s been another popular name, seeing a bunch of different interviews. The Giants are also giving him some consideration for their head coach job.
