The Detroit Lions have made their final pick of the 2024 NFL Draft to select Boston College guard Christian Mahogany.

What a steal for the Lions. Mahogany, like Wingo, is another player that was supposed to be drafted way before he actually got picked. Mahogany had a third-round grade on him during the draft process and was one of Dane Brugler's top 100 players in The Beast draft guide.

Mahogany did not allow a sack last year at Boston College. On top of that, he only allowed seven pressures and zero quarterback hits all year long. What a season for him. It wasn't just 2023 though, Mahogany only allowed one sack in 2022.

The pass blocking is where the Lions are going to love this. He had an 82.2 pass block grade from Pro Football Focus last year and an 83.7 grade in 2022.

Mahogany can come in and spot start immediately if any injuries go down. 2025 is going to be a big year for him. You can expect him to challenge for a starting spot then. He'll more than likely win it. What a draft from Brad Holmes and the Detroit Lions.
