The Detroit Lions walked out of Ford Field with a big win last night. A 42 point explosion on the Denver Broncos. We're used to seeing the Lions offense play well, but the defense did too. Here's the highs and lows in grades from Pro Football Focus:

Highest graded

Amon-Ra St. Brown bounced back from a rough week in Chicago and grabbed seven catches for 112 yards a touchdown. He was the Lions highest graded player this week with a 90.1 grade,

Highs

  • Jahmyr Gibbs: 88.8. Gibbs played his butt off on Saturday night. He ran for 100 yards and touchdown. He also added a touchdown through the air. One hell of a game from the rookie.
  • Jared Goff: 83.8. After a few bad weeks, Jared Goff had a monster game against the Broncos. The grade might be even a higher if the Lions didn't struggle a bit on their first three drives. He was electric the rest of the way with 278 yards and five touchdowns. He completed 70% of his passes.
  • Kindle Vildor: 82.7. Vildor has really taken to the Lions giving him opportunities. He only played 18 snaps on Saturday, but he made them most of each of them and is the Lions highest graded player on defense.

Lows

  • Brock Wright: 32.4. Wright is the lowest graded player on the Lions offense. He only played 12 snaps though, so he had little effect on anything. His 9.2 pass block grade is what really hurt him.
  • Derrick Barnes: 40.1. Not the best day for Barnes. Part of what probably affected him is that he played most of the game hurt. we'll see soon what that injury looks like.
  • Benito Jones: 30.3. This grade shouldn't be that low in my opinion. Jones played well against the pass. He struggled against the run, but the Broncos weren't able to do anything on the ground, so I don't get this one.

Lions’ Frank Ragnow is one tough you know what

The Detroit Lions got a big win on Saturday night in one of the cleanest games they've played all season long. One of the big reasons their offense was able to come together and play the way they did is becasue Frank Ragnow was able to overcome surgery and play a really great, wait. Did […]
