The NFL has passed a new rule bans the hip drop tackle much to the dismay of the NFLPA and defensive players in the NFL. The argument is that the tackle injures offensive players and is unsafe. 

This is, of course, another rule change that affects the way defense players can do their jobs and stop ball carriers. New Lions defensive tackle DJ Reader is not a fan of this new ruling and took to Twitter to talk about it.

He's going to be far from the only defensive player you'll hear form on this ruling. It's becoming increasingly harder to tackle a player without the fear of getting flagged for it. It seems there's a new rule every year. 

While safety is important, there needs to be importance on both sides of the ball. Running backs shouldn't be able to ram their helmets right into players anymore for example.
