The city of Detroit absolutely showed up for the 2024 NFL Draft. When I say showed up, I mean there was person in every nook and cranny of the space allotted for the draft. So many people showed up that Detroit set the record for the most people at an NFL Draft ever.
This is just huge for the city of Detroit. It wasn't long ago when things were in turmoil and the city needed a comeback. Everyone came together and that has happened. Detroit is putting itself in strong contention for other huge events like the summer Olympics, WrestleMania and the Super Bowl. I'm sure there's other events that aren't coming to mind right now, but you get the point.
This is sure to have a strong economic impact on the businesses in the city. With everyone downtown, they're buying food and drink and other things. What a massive success for the city.
