Here’s one that nobody expected. When the Baltimore Ravens host the Detroit Lions on Monday night, they’ll have to do it without their All-Pro defensive tackle.

Ravens have ruled out Nnamdi Madubuike with a neck injury

Madubuike is a big deal for the Ravens, and going against the young interior offensive lineman the Lions have right now was going to cause some serious problems. He leads the Ravens with 10 pressures and two sacks. He’s also a pretty staunch run defender. This is a potential game-changing impact for the Lions. It gives them a better chance to keep Goff clean on the interior, and it opens up the run game.

In addition to missing Madubuike, the Ravens are also expected to be without former Lions edge rusher Kyle Van Noy. The Pro Bowler led the Ravens in sacks in 2024 (14) and was second to Madubuike in pressures with 56. These are two really big players to be missing.

Likely starting in their place are sixth-round rookie Aeneas Pebbles and second-round pick Mike Green. It would be both players’ first NFL starts.
