It's NFL trade deadline season, that means we've reached that part of the season where every little thing means something. It's the opposite of draft season where everything means nothing and it's all just a smoke screen.
Because everything means something, some Lions fans and national media outlets are misreading a moment that Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell had in Monday's presser when he was asked if a trade could happen in the next 24 hours.
Campbell loads up that big grin you've all seen before and says "could be" while jumping up and down. This of course got read by a lot of people as Campbell knowing the Lions just made a big trade and that he knows about it, but can't say anything yet.
The reality is that we've seen this happen before. This is Dan Campbell having fun with the local media. It's a super nice and funny way of letting everyone in the room know that he's not telling you anything about anything. He's totally done this before. Here's a video of him doing almost the same exact thing at last years deadline.
This is fun for him. He was just having a good time. He even confirmed that on Tuesday morning with 97.1 The Ticket.

I mean there you go. He's just messing around. If you took that as a sign of something bigger, you might be disappointed on Tuesday night. Of course something could happen, but it still wouldn't be related to this.
