Bills star Dion Dawkins doubles down after viral clip trashes fan base and fuels suspicion about possible AFC East move
Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Dion Dawkins has been in a bit of hot water after appearing on a Kick stream with controversial streamer Neon. Not a good week for the franchise star.
Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Dion Dawkins is not having a great week.
Dawkins has doubled down with a hilarious April Fool’s message that stings just a tiny bit. The talented protector of quarterback Josh Allen took to social media to post a fake image of him being traded to the Miami Dolphins after a controversial clip went viral.

Dion Dawkins posts fake trade to Miami Dolphins on April Fool’s Day
He went viral for all the wrong reasons, appearing on a Kick stream with controversial streamer Neon, where Dawkins was asked whether he would leave Buffalo to join the Miami Dolphins if his pay were doubled.
“I mean, I’m going to tell you the truth. The Bills fans be trying to cook me, so I’d be out of there, I would go [ . . . ] I would leave. [ . . . ] Look, you wanna be loyal, loyal? Tell them to watch their mouths.”
Not a good look from the franchise player who was just given a key to the city. His 2025 season saw a downtick in production, making the claim even more bizarre. Some fans quickly took to social media to say farewell to the offensive lineman, pointing back to the viral clip as a means of exit.
Let’s be perfectly honest, Dawkins isn’t going anywhere, and he’d probably like to have those 30 seconds taken back. He walked back his comments shortly after, saying that he loves his quarterback and he would never leave, as long as the Bills continue to treat him the way he’s supposed to be treated.
Dion Dawkins would probably like to get those 30 seconds back
This feels like one of those moments that got way bigger than it ever needed to be.
Dawkins tried to have a little fun with the April Fool’s post, but in the shadow of what he said earlier, it landed more awkwardly than anything else. That’s the reality when you’re a face of the franchise; everything hits a little louder.
Still, if there’s one thing Bills Mafia knows about Dawkins, it’s that he wears his emotions on his sleeve and rides for this team as hard as anyone at One Bills Drive. The message may have missed the mark, but the intent to smooth things over was clear.
Now, it’s on Dawkins to do what he’s always done best, aside from maybe last season, go get back on the field, protect Allen, and let his play remind everyone exactly why Buffalo and the fans have stood by him in the first place.
