Philadelphia Eagles players are getting more than a ring after stomping the Kansas City Chiefs, 40-22, in Super Bowl LIX.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, each Eagles player on the active roster will receive a $171,000 bonus for winning.
Meanwhile, Chiefs players get an extra $96,000 for simply participating.
"Each Eagles player a part of the winning Super Bowl team receives a bonus of $171,000, per terms of the 2020 Collective Bargaining Agreement," Schefter wrote on X/Twitter. "Each Chiefs player will receive a $96,000 bonus."
The bonuses are also handed out to practice squad players, though they don't receive the full amount.
And then there are players, for example, Eagles' star running back Saquon Barkley, who are getting even more than the team Super Bowl bonus, thanks to their contract incentives.
After already racking up an extra $1.5 million ahead of SBLIX, Barkley earned another $250,000 with the win. He had previously received incentives for reaching 2,000 rushing yards, making the Super Bowl, and earning an All-Pro nod. That brings his total earnings for the 2024 season to $15 million.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts also received an additional $500,000 for leading the Eagles to a Super Bowl victory. In fact, Hurts will now receive that same bonus amount every year until his current contract runs out.
