Saquon Barkley tried very hard to get a very important group of fans over to the dark side.

During Super Bowl LIX opening night, the Philadelphia Eagles running back was asked about Taylor Swift, with one reporter specifically pointing out that she grew up an Eagles fan.

And because of that, he made a plea to all the Swifties.

"You said she was an Eagles fan," Barkley asked to confirmed. "I mean, if she was an Eagles fan her whole life, I think the Swifties should come to our side then."

However, that probably won't work. It's been two years since Swift and Travis Kelce's love story began, so Swifties are already die-hard Chiefs fans.

But, it's a valiant effort by Barkley.

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce debunks potential Taylor Swift Eagles fandom on Super Bowl LIX opening night

One of Chiefs Kingdom's most important fans is expected to make the trip to New Orleans on Sunday to cheer on Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs.

But, for Taylor Swift, this could be a tough game for her in terms of fandom.

The singer is from Pennsylvania and grew up an Eagles fan. But, now she's dating the Chiefs tight end.

So, Travis Kelce clarified exactly who Swift will be rooting for in Super Bowl LIX.

"I don't know her to have the fandom. I know her father has the Philadelphia fandom as an Eagles fan," he said. "She'll be all for the Chiefs this time around for sure."

But what about Scott Swift?

"I'll have to ask Scott himself," Kelce added. "We haven’t had that convo yet but I think he’ll be wearing red.”

It's no surprise that Taylor will be rooting for the Chiefs no matter what. And based on how much Chiefs gear Scott has been wearing to all the games this season, it's safe to say that he's switched. Plus, he looks better in red and gold than the green.

Taylor has been the Chiefs good luck charm all season, so let's see if she can keep it going in the biggest game of the year.
