The New Orleans Saints have plenty to worry about other than their seeding in the NFC for the postseason. Specifically, they'll need to make the playoffs first.

Currently, they sit at 5-5 after ten games. They're atop the NFC South, but that's nothing to brag about at this point.

What do their specific chances at different seeds in the NFC postseason look like right now?

They've played the weakest schedule in the NFL, but they have little to show for it. That being said, the Saints are still the top candidate for the fourth seed in the NFC – the spot that will most likely go to the NFC South champ. That chance is at 46%.

The Saints also own a 6% chance to get the third seed, according to ESPN's Football Power Index.

According to ESPN's metric, New Orleans has a 61% to make the playoffs, and they own a 53% to win their division. They give the Saints a 2% to make the Super Bowl.

So, you're saying there's a chance?

Technically, the Saints are in a favorable position to get to the postseason. Regardless, they need to play better football on both sides of the ball.

At every level, from coaching to performance, New Orleans has to make strides over the final eight games of their season in order to look like a contender in the NFC.
