There have been some rumblings in recent days that the Baltimore Ravens could be interested in Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry this offseason.

Henry will be a free agent when the new league year begins in March.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler confirmed on Friday during an appearance on Glenn Clark Radio that the Ravens' interest in Henry isn't just a rumor — it's legit.

Fowler, however, isn't sure the fit makes total sense for the Ravens.

"All teams kind of create a list of free agents that are potential options at a position and then they work from there," said Fowler. "They run it by their scouts and coaches and whittle it down based on who they want to target. In this case, Henry's in that mix (for the Ravens). After asking around, though, the fit could be difficult because he's so I-formation heavy in his career and the Ravens do so much out of the gun. So not that it can't work and that Henry couldn't adjust — certainly he would be crucial for them in short yardage, tough downs, dictating the pace of the game, red zone."

"I think Saquon Barkley would be more of a dangerous option for them," continued Fowler. "Because of all you could do with him and Lamar together. But I do think Henry is on the radar…those are the options that are being discussed and kicked around."

The Ravens and the Titans don't play each other next season in the regular season.
