A former Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl champion made a bold prediction for the 2023 team that fans will absolutely love.
Former Steelers cornerback Bryant McFadden recently appeared on CBS Sports HQ and he not only predicted that Pittsburgh will make the playoffs in 2023, but he also thinks they'll reach the AFC Championship game.
"I believe the Pittsburgh Steelers will have a better record than what they had in 2022 based on the experience, their young rookie quarterback game in his rookie campaign and with the added talent they've been able to add to this roster," said McFadden. "I'm saying that because I know ball and I know the Pittsburgh Steelers will make the playoffs somehow, someway."
"My bold prediction for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2023 is the Pittsburgh Steelers will compete in the AFC Championship Game," added McFadden, who won two Super Bowls with the Steelers.
It definitely feels like the Steelers are being overlooked heading into the 2023 season.
Despite second year quarterback Kenny Pickett's strong play down the stretch in 2022, it seems like no one is giving Pittsburgh a legitimate chance to compete in the AFC North in 2023.
Of course, that's not a bad thing. The Steelers know what they're capable of accomplishing. Perhaps a little doubt can serve as the perfect motivation in Pittsburgh this fall.
