Georgia Bulldogs NFL Draft stars set to rise quickly after impressive NFL Combine testing
Zachariah Branch, Monroe Freeling, Daylen Everette and other Georgia Bulldogs NFL Draft prospects tested extremely well at the NFL Combine
The Georgia Bulldogs were represented well at the 2026 NFL Combine in Indianapolis, Indiana. Kirby Smart and his staff always make sure that their NFL prospects are ready to test well when it comes time to prepare for the NFL Draft, so it’s no surprise that several Georgia Bulldogs impressed with their athletic testing.
How early could some of this year’s Georgia Bulldogs prospects go in the NFL Draft? And how special was their athletic testing at the NFL Combine exactly? Let’s dive in.
Georgia Bulldogs WRs all shine at the NFL Combine
All three of the Georgia Bulldogs wide receivers who were invited to participate in the NFL combine made sure that they impressed when it came time to test. Colbie Young, Dillon Bell, and Zachariah Branch all posted A to Z Sports Athletic Composites well above the 70th percentile.
Young only participated in the forty-yard dash, so his athletic profile was incomplete, but answered any questions on his speed by running a 4.49-second forty-yard dash. That’s good for a 58th percentile mark among all NFL Combine wide receivers since the year 2000. However, more impressively, Young ran that 4.49 forty at 6-5, 218 pounds. Adjusting for his size, that gave him an 85th percentile Speed Score (which is more directly tied to NFL success than just raw forty time).
Bell’s athletic profile was exactly what many expected to see. He leaped 39 inches in the vert (84th percentile) and 10’6″ in the broad (77th percentile). When combined with his more than adequate 4.5-second forty-yard dash, that gave Bell a solid profile that would project well for both a wide receiver or running back (where he was used sparingly at Georgia).
The highest touted Georgia wide receiver, Branch, didn’t post extremely impressive size-adjusted numbers considering he only weighed in a 177 pounds, but his speed was on full display. He ran a 4.35-second forty-yard dash, virtually locking in Day Two NFL Draft capital for himself (full Athletic Composite profile for Branch in the image below).

Daylen Everette answered questions on his speed at NFL Combine
Daylen Everette has long been considered a top notch cornerback, but he answered any questions that NFL decision-makers may have when it comes to his athleticism at the NFL Combine.
Everette ran a 4.38-second forty-yard dash (92nd percentile). Then he posted a Burst Score above the 70th percentile to go along with that. Everette has the length, prototypical build, speed, burst, and twitch to be an early-round cornerback. NFL teams likely took notice. He was already a fringe Day Two pick. This kind of performance typically locks in Top 100 capital for corners.

Monroe Freeling and Micah Morris both proved their elite athleticism
A couple Georgia players like linebacker CJ Allen (especially notable) didn’t fully participate in the NFL Combine testing, but impressed in interviews. Monroe Freeling and Micah Morris did both.
Freeling and Morris both tested out as 95th percentile athletes at their positions. Both had above average arm length for their position groups, and elite Speed Scores adjusting for their size. Freeling was just a bit more athletic, running a 4.93-second forty-yard dash (97th percentile), and posting jumps above the 93rd percentile, but Morris was impressive at 334 pounds too. Freeling all but cemented his Top 40 overall status. Morris possibly climbed well ahead of the majority of later round offensive line prospects himself.

The entire Georgia Bulldogs NFL Draft class of prospects largely wowed those on-site in Indianapolis at the NFL Combine. This shouldn’t surprise Georgia fans who understand “The Standard” that Kirby Smart has established over the last decade, but it’s still impressive to see each and every NFL Draft cycle. Mock drafts are already moving Bulldogs players up this week. Sources who speak to A to Z Sports confirm that this yet another stacked Georgia group. It’s only a matter of weeks before the Bulldogs stack the early rounds of the NFL once again.
