Aaron Jones was tired of hearing. The Green Bay Packers running back went on social media to roast Chicago Bears safety Jaquan Brisker after the big Packers win on Sunday, which put the Packers on the NFC playoffs.
After the game was over, Brisker talked with disdain about the Packers roster — which is an interesting decision, to say the least.
"I felt like we could have tightened up on the receivers a lot more than we did today. We gave them too much room and I really have no respect for them at all, just to be honest," Brisker said. "No one's over there. No respect. They have no stars over there. They try to play a little fake tough. Just doing extra stuff after the play, grabbing people's face masks after the play, and things like that. Just doing a lot of dirty stuff to get us flagged and stuff like that."
So, Aaron Jones didn't miss any time.
Performance
Aaron Jones played a huge part in the Packers 17-9 win on Sunday. The running back finished the game with 22 carries for 111 yards, plus five receptions for 30 yards.
Brisker has a long track record of trash-talking. After the first Packers-Bears game of the season in week 1, the Bears' defensive back said he saw nothing special on Packers quarterback Jordan Love.
However, Love had two strong performances against Chicago this year. Combining the two games, Love had 561 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions.
The Packers won both games, which was instrumental for their success in reaching the postseason.
Green Bay finished the regular season with a 9-8 record, and now it will face the Dallas Cowboys in the wild card round. The Packers got the seventh seed after being second in the NFC North.
The Bears finished their season with a 7-10 record, tied with the Minnesota Vikings, but Chicago ends up as the last place in the division because of the tie-breaking rules.
Jordan Love is the big reason why the Packers are here
