Aaron Rodgers has officially signed his new deal with the Green Bay Packers on Tuesday, according to Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport.

The new deal is a five-year contract with "dummy years" attached to the end. That's a method used by teams to lower the cap hit, essentially stretching out the hit on a large salary over several years (save cap space now, but give up cap space in the future).

According to Pelissero, the new deal includes $150.815 million over the next three years. The first two years are fully guaranteed at signing.

Rodgers' cap hit before the new deal was a staggering $46.6 million. It's now around $28 million, which should give Green Bay some breathing room to work this offseason.

It could also lead to the Packers being able to work out a long-term deal with wide receiver Devante Adams, who reportedly told Green Bay this week that he will not play on the franchise tag in 2022.

The Packers are essentially going all-in on Rodgers in the hopes of bringing a Super Bowl back to Green Bay.
