The Green Bay Packers' wide receiver depth took quite a hit on Thursday with the trade of wide receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders.
Randall Cobb, Allen Lazard, Malik Taylor, and Amari Rodgers are currently the Packers' top receiving options.
Green Bay needs to add to that group if they're going to make a Super Bowl run in 2022.
Obviously they won't be able to replace Adams — especially via the free-agent market.
But there are a few options Green Bay needs to consider.
The first option is former Atlanta Falcons/Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones.

Jones was released this week by the Titans after a lackluster 2021 season in Nashville. He only played in 10 games and caught just 31 passes for 434 yards and one touchdown.
The former Alabama star is 33 and clearly on the downside of his career. But if he can get healthy, he can still be a dominant wide receiver. Signing Jones would basically be a hail-mary shot at landing a potentially elite WR1. I think it's more than worth a shot. In fact, he's a player that I think Green Bay needs to be with on the phone ASAP. Jones has the kind of upside the Packers need right now.
Green Bay could also consider signing Jarvis Landry, JuJu Smith-Schuster, or Cole Beasley. None of those are WR1 type players, but all of them could make an impact in Green Bay's offense (and I'm sure they'd love catching passes from Rodgers).
Signing Jones and then one of the three mentioned could even be an option.
The Packers need to be on the phone with agents right now, figuring out how to get some wide receiver help for Rodgers. And they need to do it fast before another team scoops up one or more of the options I mentioned.
