The Green Bay Packers received a much-needed positive update on Monday morning.

According to a report from ESPN, wide receiver Randall Cobb will miss "multiple weeks" due to an ankle injury he suffered in Green Bay's 27-10 loss to the New York Jets.

This is a positive update for the Packers because it was initially feared that Cobb would be lost for the rest of the season.

From ESPN:

The good news for the Green Bay Packers is that receiver Randall Cobb has not been lost for the season. The bad news for them as they continue to search for solutions to their offensive struggles is that they will be without one of Aaron Rodgers' favorites for multiple weeks.

Cobb suffered an ankle injury in the third quarter of Sunday's 27-10 loss to the New York Jets. It appeared that players rolled into each of his legs, and it wasn't clear which ankle was injured.

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is dealing with a mostly-new cast of wide receivers this season.

Cobb, however, is a player that has plenty of chemistry with Rodgers. He's one of the few guys on the roster that Rodgers has built some trust with.

And that showed in week five against the New York Giants when Cobb caught seven passes for 99 yards.

Cobb's injury comes at an unfortunate time as he was starting to heat up, but at least Green Bay knows he'll be back in a month or less.
