The Green Bay Packers are not in a good place right now.
Green Bay is 3-4 after their loss to the Washington Commanders on Sunday. They suddenly have a steep hill to climb to catch the 5-1 Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North.
The biggest reason the Packers are in this position is because of their offensive struggles.
Despite having the reigning back-to-back NFL MVP in quarterback Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay has yet to score more than 27 points in a game this season.
And in three games, the Packers have failed to score more than 14 points.
There's one easy tweak, though, that Green Bay can make that could help the offense be more productive.

The Packers need to run the ball more.
It's really that simple.
On Sunday, the Washington Commanders played a lot of two shell defense, which was essentially an invitation to Green Bay to run the ball.
The Packers, however, didn't run the ball (not like they should've). And they haven't been lately.
I understand when you have Aaron Rodgers that the instinct is to just keep throwing the ball. But that clearly isn't working right now.
At this point, teams know that Green Bay isn't going to run the ball. As a result, they know they can drop extra defenders into coverage without fear of the Packers running the ball.
If Green Bay wants to change the way the opposing defenses play them, they need to commit to running the ball. The Packers are essentially wasting Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon by not running the ball more.
We've seen great Bill Belichick coached Patriots teams in the past that would run the ball more than you'd expect because of the way defenses played them. That's what Green Bay needs to do this season.
If they don't adjust, I'm not sure the season will turn around. But if they change their offensive approach, it could open up things quite a bit for Rodgers. And that's how the Packers can get back in front in the NFC North.
