Interest in Aaron Rodgers is at an all-time low, per Brian Gutekunst

Aaron Rodgers has been the hot topic of the last two offseasons among media and fans alike. But this year, it's a different story when it comes to interest throughout the league, apparently.
According to Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst, team's haven't been inquiring about a possible Rodgers trade. In fact, as Gutekunst puts it, there's been zero interest.
"Not at all," Gutekunst said Tuesday. "Not a single person."
Forgive me for being a tad skeptical on that one. It's rather hard to believe that not one living soul has reached out to Gutekunst in an attempt to extract some kind of information pertaining to Rodgers and his situation.
Or at least in an attempt to gauge Gutekunst's interest toward the matter.
But after all, this is "Lying Season". GMs, coaches, players, agents – they're all about smokescreens, misdirection, and secrecy at this time of year.
And for good reason. Right now, teams aren't allowed to talk about or "flirt" with players that are currently under contract. Take Jason Licht, for example. He specifically said at the podium that he didn't want to talk about Texans QB Deshaun Watson because Watson is still under contract in Houston.
Maybe it's because no one knows what Rodgers is planning to do just yet. Or it could be the fallout from the recent report suggesting that a short-term extension is in play. That's also hard to believe, however. NFL GMs and front offices have a backup plan for the backup plan to the backup plan when it comes to free agency and the draft. They're prepared for literally every scenario. That makes it tougher to imagine that no one has even dipped their toe in the Rodgers Pool at this point in time.
We should find out what's going to happen soon enough, though. Rodgers said last Thursday that he'll have a decision on his future soon.
For our collective sanity's sake, let's hope that is true.
