The Green Bay Packers special teams saw major improvement in its first year under special teams coach Rich Bisaccia, so it's important the team does whatever necessary to keep the ball rolling.

They did just that on Tuesday with the signing of veteran safety Dallin Leavitt. NFL Network's Mike Garofolo was the first to break the news.

Leavitt played 308 special teams snaps in 2022, which was good for second-most on the Packers. His 71.96% snap rate was second-highest, as well.

In other words: Leavitt is a key part of the special teams unit.

Per Football Outsiders, the Packers special teams jumped to 17th in total DVOA after finishing dead last in 2021 and 25th in 2020. It's clear that whatever Bisaccia is doing is working and keeping guys like Leavitt in the building will help the Packers continue their upward trajectory.
