The Green Bay Packers fell to 3-4 on Sunday after their disappointing 23-21 loss to the Washington Commanders.
Green Bay led 14-3 in the second quarter, but they were outscored 20-3 by Washington in the rest of the game.
The Packers' loss to the Commanders, combined with their lackluster offensive performances so far this season, has it feeling like Green Bay might be in panic mode.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers, however, isn't panicking. In an act we've seen before, Rodgers is taking a positive approach and preaching that Green Bay is still in a good spot to make the playoffs.
In fact, Rodgers said he's not worried about this team right now. And he thinks it's very plausible that the Packers reach the playoffs.
I'm sure some will laugh at that statement from Rodgers. They'll mock him and ridicule him.
But what else is a leader supposed to do?
Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time. He's been through tough times before. And he's come out on the other side just fine.
Fans should have confidence in Rodgers. He has a Hall of Fame track record. If he thinks making the playoffs is more than possible, why should anyone doubt him?
There's a LOT of season left. Let's let things play out before we say that Rodgers, the defending back-to-back NFL MVP, is washed up. He's made people look foolish before and I have a feeling he'll be doing the same thing again in the second half of the 2022 season.
