For the first time in his NFL career, Green Bay Packers quarterback has been named the NFC Player of the Week. He achieved the award for his special performance against the Minnesota Vikings in week 17. Love finished the game with 24/33 for 256 yards and three touchdowns, and the Packers won 33-10.

"He's playing at an incredibly high level," Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said after the game on Sunday night. "I'm super happy for him, because he's put in a ton of work to get to this point. I really think the sky is the limit for us. He's just showing a glimpse of what he can ultimately be."

This is the first Packers weekly award since returner Keisean Nixon won the NFC special teams player of the week last year, exactly in week 17 against the same Vikings — when he returned a kickoff for a touchdown.

The Packers hadn't won an offensive player of week award since week 15 in 2021, when Aaron Rodgers had a strong performance against the Baltimore Ravens during a 31-30 win.

This season, his first as a full-time starter, Jordan Love has had 30 passing touchdowns and four rushing touchdowns. He is just the second quarterback in franchise history to hit those marks in one year. Rodgers did it in 2009 and 2016.
