Last week, edge rusher Micah Parsons won the NFC Defensive Player of the Week award after a monster three-sack performance against the Arizona Cardinals. Now, quarterback Jordan Love has been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Love was almost perfect in the Green Bay Packers’ 35-25 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers and Aaron Rodgers on “Sunday Night Football,” completing 29 of 37 passes (78.4 percent) for 360 yards and three touchdowns.

Elite pieces playing to their potential

The Packers have a lot of talent on the roster. And with their blue-chip players performing to their full potential, Green Bay becomes a real threat to compete for a championship.

Jordan Love became the first quarterback in NFL history to record 20-consecutive completions, at least 350 yards, at least three touchdown passes, and take zero sacks in a single game. Love’s 20-consecutive pass completions tied Pro Football Hall of Famer Brett Favre (Week 12, 2007) for the most consecutive completions in Green Bay’s history. Love’s 134.2 passer rating was the highest of his career as a starter.

Packers QBs with the most NFC Player of the Week awards

  • Aaron Rodgers: 19 times
  • Brett Favre: 12 times
  • Jordan Love: 3 times

This is the third time Jordan Love wins the award — the previous ones had been in consecutive weeks back in 2023, after wins over the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears.

Curiously, four quarterbacks have been named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week at some point this season, and all of them are NFC North players — Minnesota Vikings’ J.J. McCarthy, Detroit Lions’ Jared Goff, and Chicago Bears’ Caleb Williams had already won it in 2025.

Through eight weeks, Jordan Love leads the NFL in adjusted EPA/play, is third in success rate, and fifth in completion percentage over expectation. If he keeps playing like this, Love will be in line to earn much more important recognitions really soon — his first Pro Bowl and maybe even an All-Pro selection would be in consideration.
