The Green Bay Packers won't have many problems to solve in terms of its own free agents. The only offensive starter who has an expiring contract is center Josh Myers and, well, it seems like it will be hard to keep him around.

According to ESPN's NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, Myers is expected to have a strong market, as he is the second best center option after Drew Dalman from the Atlanta Falcons.

"Packers center Josh Myers has started 50 games for Green Bay since 2022, so he should have a strong market, too. While Myers went down for what appeared to be a significant injury in the playoffs, I'm told he came out of the game unscathed and has no injury from the play. He's getting no treatment and is completely healthy entering free agency."

Spotrac projects that Josh Myers will receive a three-year,$23.25 million contract in free agency ($7.7 million per season). That's probably already too much based on Myers' up and down performance throughout his rookie contract, but the value can go even higher because that's simply how the free market operates.

The Packers can certainly use free agency to replace Myers, but the natural decision would be to add last year's first-round pick Jordan Morgan into the starting lineup, and move one starter from another position to center.

The most obvious option is moving Elgton Jenkins from left guard to center, just like the Packers did in their first game against the Detroit Lions last season, with Morgan playing at left guard.

However, other center options include right guard Sean Rhyan or even right tackle Zach Tom.

The biggest problem for the Packers by losing Myers is the interior of the offensive line depth. Right now, beyond Morgan, Jenkins, and Rhyan, the only IOL on the 90-man roster are former fifth-round center Jacob Monk, plus Marquis Hayes and Donovan Jennings, players who signed future deals with Green Bay. When Myers got hurt in the playoffs, the Packers were forced to play tackles Travis Glover and Kadeem Telfort inside.

Josh Myers was a Packers' second-round pick in 2021, Brian Gutekunst’s hand-picked option to replace Corey Linsley. A starter at center from Day 1, he has played 3,479 total offensive snaps in the NFL.

If the Packers lose Myers, it would be the second consecutive year where a team's interior offensive lineman leaves in free agency. Last year, right guard Jon Runyan signed a three-year contract with the New York Giants.
