Finally, Green Bay Packers star running back Aaron Jones has returned to practice. It's not just him warming up with the team in helmet and pads before retreating back inside the Don Huston Center.
He's actually on the field. With his teammates. Participating in practice, per The Athletic's Matt Schneidman.
Packers wideout, Christian Watson, was not on the field during Thursday's media availability, but head coach Matt LaFleur eased any concern after practice.
"No, that's part of the plan," LaFleur told reporters when asked if Watson had a setback. "He ran a couple days in a row and we wanted to give him a day of rest and we'll see how he looks tomorrow."
It's obviously a huge boost for the Packers offense, but it still doesn't mean Jones will play on Sunday. It certainly puts him on track to play, though. As for Watson, we'll have to see what happens on Friday.
LaFleur officially listed Jones as limited when he spoke to reporters, along with Rashan Gary and Lukas Van Ness.
We'll update this with Thursday's official injury report once it's released at 4pm ET.
Update: Reserve safety Zayne Anderson missed practice on Thursday. That, along with Jones' return and Watson's rest day are the only new developments from Wednesday's injury report.
As for the Saints, safety Ugo Amadi was upgraded to a limited participant, which is big considering the Marcus Maye suspension. The Swiss Army Knife known as Taysom Hill was also upgraded to limited. Both players are dealing with knee injuries.
Foster Moreau, who is battling an ankle issue, was also upgraded. Kendre Miller's status and Jamaal Williams' status remained the same as Wednesday.
Jordan Love puts target on the back of Saints’ four-time Pro Bowler
Gotta love the confidence.
