Stephen A. Smith has done it again.

Always known to be entertaining, he went on a tangent centering around Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers during a Friday episode of ESPN's First Take, and sure enough, it was entertaining.

But, unfortunately for Smith, it was incorrect and worst of all: false.

Rodgers' postseason failures and his latest non-playoff season, as well as his darkness retreat and NFL future, have been a hot topic this offseason, as they should. The Packers haven't won a playoff game since the 2020 season, which feels like eons ago.

But according to Smith, it's been a lot longer than that. Because he believes Rodgers hasn't won a playoff game since he started appearing on ThePat McAfee Show:

Unfortunately, Smith is wrong. As you can see here and here, Rodgers appeared multiple times on The Pat McAfee Show throughout the 2020 regular season.

Well, Rodgers and the Packers beat the Los Angeles Rams, 32-18, in the Divisional Round of that season's playoffs. After multiple appearances on the show.

Rodgers even talks about the win over the Rams and subsequent matchup with Tom Brady, here.

No one is perfect, but you hate to see big-time media-types take jabs like this at players. Sure, it's for entertainment.

But, at the same time, let's at least make sure we are spot-on with our attempted troll jobs. That's just basic due diligence, at best.
