The Green Bay Packers have already used their all-whites twice this season, so it didn’t look like it was going to happen again. However, the roster came back to practice on Wednesday and, surprisingly, the players were wearing white helmets.

That’s an indication that the Packers will wear their all-white uniforms for a third time in 2025. The kit has brought great luck for Green Bay so far, therefore fans should be excited about what will happen in Week 15 against the Denver Broncos.

All-whites track record

The Packers released their all-whites in 2024 and immediately had great results with them. Last season, the team beat the Houston Texans 24-22 and the Seattle Seahawks 30-13. This season so far, the Packers have won games over the Washington Commanders, 27-18, and Aaron Rodgers’ Pittsburgh Steelers 35-25.

Curiously, the Packers have used another alternate this season, a navy blue in reference to the 1920s, but they lost 16-13 to the Carolina Panthers at Lambeau Field.

The white helmets are the result of a rule adjustment made by the NFL. The league announced that it would allow three different helmet colors, but the team has to practice with the alternate helmet during the week leading up to the game. Beyond their regular yellow helmets, the Packers now have the whites and the throwback ones. And since the players are practicing with the whites, it means they will wear them on gameday — even if it hasn’t been officially announced yet.

Preparation

Running back Josh Jacobs was the only player on the 53-man roster who did not practice on Wednesday. The returns include edge defender Lukas Van Ness, rookie wide receiver Savion Williams, and linebacker Kristian Welch.

The Packers are 9-3-1 this season, in first place of the NFC North and with the second seed of the NFC, just behind the Los Angeles Rams. The 11-2 Denver Broncos are in first seed of the AFC.
