The Green Bay Packers pulled off an amazing comeback against the New Orleans Saints, but it came with a cost.
All-Pro linebacker, De'Vondre Campbell, left the game early in the first half after he suffered an ankle injury. Campbell missed a chunk of training camp with an ankle injury earlier in the year, but it's unknown if it's the same ankle or not.
The defense clearly missed Campbell's presence, as the Saints moved the ball pretty regularly until Derek Carr went down with a shoulder injury. But, they were able to tighten up when Jameis Winston entered the game and it was just enough to pull off the win.
Campbell wasn't the only one who went down and didn't return. Reserve cornerback Carrington Valentine, who started Sunday in place of the injured Jaire Alexander, left the game early with a biceps injury. Zach Tom, the team's starting right tackle left the game with a knee injury after the Packers' second touchdown drive and never re-entered, although there wasn't any reason for him to since the Saints missed the 46-yard field goal attempt that would've put them back in the lead with under a minute left to play.
No one asked about Campbell after the game and Matt LaFleur didn't provide an update. Therefore, someone will have to ask for an update on Monday and they should. He's an important player and the last thing the Packers need is to have another big name miss a game.
