GREEN BAY – The Packers' OTAs are officially underway and they have a new face in the mix defensive lineman Chris Slayton.

The Packers announced Wednesday afternoon that they claimed Slayton off waivers. The. Giants selected Slayton in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL and he stayed on the practice squad until the final game of the season. The Giants released the former Orange after training camp the following year.

Slayton then bounced around between Atlanta's, Buffalo's, Pittsburgh's, and San Francisco's practice squads before landing in Green Bay on Wednesday.

Slayton appeared in 43 games during his career with Syracuse and racked up 104 total tackles, 7.5 sacks, 30.5 TFLs, and four forced fumbles. He will wear No. 60 for the Packers.

Green Bay's roster now sits at 90 players.
